We live on 147 acre ranch in East Texas that we purchased from my grandparents. It’s been in our family now since 1969. We are so thankful for the wonderful resources with which we have been blessed.

I always knew I wanted to have a ranch one day. So I went to Texas A&M to get a B.S. in Animal Science and later went on to get a M.Ed. in Education. However, my favorite education has been the hands on, learning as you go, trial and error type of thing. I mean, I've studied herbs, essential oils, and nutrition. However, there are just some things you have to learn hands on and you have to get started somewhere.

And, I did go on and find an essential oil company I could trust and that used an evidence based approach. As I said above, I found doTERRA and eventually Dr. Janet Roark. I was surprised to see she used essential oils in her practice and have enjoyed being able to learn from her as a part of her customer team as well as do some free lance work for her as well. I now have studied animal aromatherapy and feel confident in my use of essential oils around the home"stead".
